Junior Deputy Academy is a week-long program each summer that gives youth ages 7-15 the opportunity to learn the inner workings of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the roles and responsibilities of a Deputy Sheriff, and enhance life skills with character building.
The Lee County Junior Deputy Academy, in conjunction with the Lee County School Resource Officer Program, intends to break down the barriers between law enforcement officers and our youth to provide every opportunity for their success in the future.
This week-long academy is made up of four primary categories of activities:
June 8: Lee County Sheriff’s Office (1900 Frederick Rd). June 9 – June 12: Beauregard Elementary School (300 Lee Rd 431).
June 22: Lee County Sheriff’s Office (1900 Frederick Rd). June 23 – June 25: Smiths Station Junior High School (4228 Lee Rd 430).
Monday-Thursday 8am-12pm CDT
This program is in high-demand each year, and a limited number of spots are available.
